I Will See Your Face

I will see your face
In the fallen leaves
In the back of the schoolbus
Where no children are sleeping
In the memory of the Refusal

I will see your face
In the palms of seekers
In the indecision of jailers

I will see your face
In the inorganic
Day turned to night

It will be hard to think soon
I will see your face
In the Bordeaux Blanc
My ears will ring
Is that you on the phone?

I will see your face
You, in your striped pajamas
In your earlier sleepy suit
For there is nothing linear here

The words will emerge lysergic
From the hands of fates
A long and prosperous life
A brief Moment
The butchers at bay
And you with your
Faded rose
Hold on until you are withered

And then
I will see your face
I will love a poet of France
A butterfly in an asylum
No mere ox
A Robert of hearts
Desnos of Desire

I will see your face
